Episode 34: Mudders and Grunters

  1. Editing is improving a lot. Great time had by all except those 5 seconds running up the hill just as Steve past me for the "W". Bastard! My dad was like he's been gunning to beat you, why didn't you race like a team... I told him we did that for 4 years, not its time to burry each other into submission. Till next year!

Highlight: Watching Rolek trip and fall in the 1st wooded section passing him and saying, "Welcome to Mudders!" haha

  2. I have to give a quick shout out to Christine and Sam for running around and getting all this great footage to work with, and also to my Dad for coming all the way down to cheer!

  3. Folded like usual?! You vain, inflexible, son-of-a-bitch!

  4. Hahaha. Not sure why I said that (other than for the sake of talking trash for the camera). You're right, it doesn't make much sense considering you won last year. You can prove me wrong at Princeton in a few weeks!

    1. It's all about talking trash. Can't wait for next year. Hicks, JuD and Hopkins... we're sweeping it. Finishing Order: 1. Rolek, 2-4. everybody else

    2. Enjoy that skull boys. Next year we're getting some Iona grads - the kind that need Visas to be state-side.

      ;)

  5. Rolek, I think you and Walsh made this video, honestly. So many one liners from you and Walsh's ad hoc pre-race interview was genius.

  7. Glad everyone is enjoying the video. Spread the word to other alumni and hopefully we can get an even bigger showing next year. Sounds like we will need it to beat Josh and his crew of ex-Iona runners! Unless of course Rolek's 1, 2-4 prediction comes to fruition.

  8. I had no idea Chamillionaire cut a 7-minute version of Ridin' Dirty. He must have been listening to a lot of Allman Brothers Band.

  9. Haha. I faded the track out and repeated the instrumental just as Walsh explains exactly what split he plans to run for each 500m. Its all part of the magic here at Sub15.
