Game on. I will happily serve as the arbiter of this challenge. I propose that we pick a race that's between six months and one year from now. I think Shamrock Run would serve us well given its timing, though we could also look at Mountain Goat 2013. Better yet, we could make a best of three series. You two should decide the stakes.
I like that, too. How about Durkee's (gives some incentive for Rick to get going), Shamrock, and Mountain Goat? You could take a page out of the Hopkins-Camp NYC marathon handbook and say winner punches the loser in the face at the end.
I just wanted to mention this was one of my favorite workouts yet. It had an element of tempo-type strength, but at speeds a little faster than our normal tempo pace.
Q: "Where's Rick Streeter been?"
ReplyDeleteA: "Not running"
Wise Remark: "Just like the past 7 years"
"Where's Rick been?"
ReplyDelete"Fat."

ReplyDeleteI was mostly trying to atone for including that statement in the video. I think your figure is lovely, Rick.
ReplyDeleteIf Chris keeps talking shit I might have to come out of retirement and whoop some ass
ReplyDeleteChallenge accepted.

ReplyDeleteI move for a three-part series with varied durations.

ReplyDeleteYeah, Rick has more success at the shorter stuff and my strengths are in the distances...so we can do at least one of each to make it fair.
ReplyDeleteOr better yet, Durkee's, Shamrock, and Wilber Duck.
